GULET CRUISE

A gulet (pronounced 'goolett') cruise is, in our opinion, a magical holiday. It's a wonderful combination of sightseeing, open-air eating & drinking, sunbathing, swimming & snorkelling and, of course, cruising along one of the Mediterranean's most beautiful and photogenic coastlines. Add to all this a series of picturesque coves, ancient sites and magnificent scenery and you have the kind of holiday you normally only dream about. In our view, a gulet cruise is the ultimate in holiday enjoyment. Simple pleasures, no stress or strain and above all, a wonderful feeling of timelessness. Absolute magic.

There is no fixed itinerary as such although a similar routes are taken on most cruises (see typical itineraries below). No two days are the same but a fairly typical day may go along the lines of a leisurely breakfast followed by a couple of hours' cruising before dropping anchor in a secluded bay for swimming, snorkelling and lunch. Afternoon cruise, again for a couple of hours, and then anchor for the night either in a quiet bay or close to a small harbour with, perhaps, the opportunity of going ashore. Dinner, of course, will be on board. The cruise itinerary is always dependent on weather and operational conditions and is always subject to the captain's approval. All gulet cabins have private sh/wc, there's a sunbathing area with sun mattresses, a saloon / bar, a shaded afterdeck for meals and drinks, a music system, a galley, snorkels & flippers, fishing lines and a tender-boat.

Typical "Blue Cruise" Itinerary, Marmaris - Fethiye - Marmaris

Day 1
Transfer to Marmaris and board your gulet. Meet the crew and your travelling companions and, if there's time, look around Marmaris. Spend the night on board in Marmaris harbour.

Day 2
Cruise to Ekincik and enjoy an optional excursion to the ancient city of Caunos. Visit the mud baths and see the pretty resort of dalyan. Overnight in the bay.

Day 3
Continue the cruise to Fethiye and spend the night in Tersane Bay.

Day 4
Sailing along this fabulous coastline, we continue as far as Gocek and the bay of Fethiye. A chance to see the ancient site of Telmessos. Here you can visit the stone graves of Fethiye and also take an optional excursion to the stone valley of Saklikent. Overnight in Fethiye harbour.

Day 5
Heading back towards Marmaris we sail into Bedri rahmi Bay and overnight at Domuz Island.

Day 6
After breakfast we cruise to Baba Island and to the Bay of sarigerme.

Day 7
This morning we sail to Kadirga Bay and, in the afternoon, arrive back at Marmaris harbour for a final evening of shopping and entertainment in this popular resort.

Day 8
Leave the gulet after breakfast and transfer to the airport or to the resort of your choice.

Typical "Blue Cruise" Itinerary, Bodrum - Gokova - Bodrum

Day 1
Clients are taking into their cabins after 15.30 and giving brief information about the route and the boat by Rota Yachting staff. Service starts with the dinner and overnight is in the harbour of Bodrum.

Day 2
While the clients are having their breakfast the captain gets the permission to leave the harbour from the harbour master and after breakfast the staff of the boat are introduced to the clients by Rota Yachting staff together with the captain and the route is shown on the map.After breakfast and the brief information it is time to sail to Alakisla bay.You will have an oppurtinity to visit the ruins of Bizantine village.Dinner and overnight is in Çökertme.

Day 3
Sailing to Tuzla bay before breakfast,lunch and svimming break at Tuzla bay,dinner and overnight is in English harbour.

Day 4
Sailing to Sedir Island after breakfast there you can find an ancient city called Kedrai.

Theatre,church,ruins of necrapol houses can be seen on the island.The inscriptions which were found on the island shows us that Kleopatra had lived on the island:Therefore the beach is called Kleopatra’s beach and the sand of this beach is very special.Antonius got the sand brought with the ships from north Africa.This sand can only be found in Tunisia nowadays.

Dinner and overnight is in Karacasögüt where the village is surrounded by pine trees. A trip to Marmaris can also be arranged which takes 20 minutes to get Marmaris.

Day 5
Ballisu bay after breakfast. Dinner and overnight is in Löngöz. The clients might take for a walk through the forest in the night.

Day 6
Sailing to Kargili bay before breakfast. Orak island is after lunch.Dinner and overnight is there.

Day 7
Sailing to Pabuç after breakfast. Haremten bay is after lunch and svimming break.

After having tea and coffee it is time to sail into the harbour of Bodrum and overnight is in the harbour.

Day 8
It is time to leave the boat with nice memories after breakfast latest at 10.30.

We may change the routes above depending on the weather conditions.
