Kemer - The Turkish Riviera
Kemer on
the Mediterranean coast of Turkey is blessed with sunshine
300 days of the year - as is typical in this region - and is the ideal holiday
destination for couples and families looking to relax in the sun. In Kemer you
will find an attractive marina, a busy resort centre with many shops, cafes and
restaurants, and plenty of three, four and five star hotels offering the
famously warm Turkish welcome. Kemer, on Turkey’s ‘Turquoise Coast’ is about 45
km south of Antalya with its international airport.
Planning has been restricted to ensure Kemer remains a small, pleasant resort.
No wonder it’s proving popular with German and Russian holiday visitors, as well
as increasing numbers of British families. Kemer holidaysCamyuva

Holidays in Kemer - natural beauty on the beach and
beyond In Kemer the beach is the focal point of the holidays. It’s a
paradise for swimming, snorkelling and water sports, or taking a leisurely boat
trip along the coast. From Kemer you may want to visit neighbouring Camuyya,
which is a smaller, quieter resort, or head north along the coast to the larger,
historic town and holiday hotspot of Antalya. Beyond the centre of Kemer with
its smart hotels and tastefully appointed apartments, you will find wooded
valleys, and a lush landscape rising to the rugged peaks of the Taurus Mountains
to the north. Kemer holidays - seek out ancient cities The
Mediterranean coast around Kemer is as full of artefacts as the Aegean region.
West of Antalya, you can see the mountain cities of Termessos and Arikand, as
well as coastal towns such as Olimpos, Kale, Kekova and Kas. The ancient cities
of Perge, Aspendos and Side are located on the coastal plane east of Antalya.
During your stay in Kemer why not try some of the local cuisine? Salep is an
amazing orchid drink, and this region is also know for its rich ice-cream, often
made of goats’ milk.
