Marmaris and Icmeler
Marmaris has a busy harbour and marina, boat trips along the coast and a lively evening scene. Icmeler, just along the bay, is calmer and popular with families. Both are reached from Dalaman airport.
Fethiye and Oludeniz
Fethiye is a relaxed harbour town with a good market and easy access to boat trips. Oludeniz is famous for its lagoon and for paragliding from Babadag mountain. It is also reached from Dalaman.
Bodrum
A stylish peninsula with a castle, a big marina and a choice of resort bays such as Yalikavak, Turgutreis and Ortakent. It combines nightlife with quiet beach villages.
Getting there
Fly to Dalaman for Marmaris and Fethiye, and to Bodrum airport for the Bodrum peninsula. Check the season, because some of these airports have fewer UK flights in winter.
